The first way to make your note personal is to write their name. Whether you're just writing their name (e.g. To Liam), or adding a more personal touch (e.g. To my special friend, Liam), it is nice to address them directly.
The most important bit is saying thank you. Whilst there are so many ways to say thank you, we simply recommend you stick to 'Thank You' or 'Thanks' to show appreciation.
Another great way to express gratitude is to also mention how much the person means to you - e.g. Thanks for the gift, you are such an amazing friend!

As they have bought you a gift, it is important to mention it. Make sure to include what the gift is, and what you are going to do with it. Here are some examples:
Thanks for sending me some birthday money! It will go towards my new games console.
Thank you so much for the new coat, I will be sure to wear it every day!
Thanks again for my amazing new game - I can't wait to play it with my friends!
This will make whoever bought the present feel special and make them glad they bought you a gift.
There are lots of different ways to sign your name. It doesn't have to be boring!
