2020 has been a very difficult year for so many, and has meant that so many special celebrations have been cancelled. However, this doesn't mean that Christmas this year has to be cancelled too!
Here is how to plan for the best Christmas ever:
Buying Christmas gifts is one of the best parts of Christmas! It's so much fun choosing what to buy everyone. However, as many people have less money to spend this year, it means that Christmas presents may be a struggle.
Don't worry though, there's still so many budget and DIY gifts that you can give, such as a thoughtful scrapbook, a framed photograph, or homemade jewellery. It's the thought that counts!
Featured Product: Father Christmas - Letter Set - Pack of 20
Don't forget to remind your kids to write a letter to Santa! Our Santa letter writing sets were so popular last year, and are a great price, too.
We even have personalised letters from Santa - the perfect way to add magic to Christmas!
Whilst you may not be able to see all of your friends and family this Christmas, you can still wish them a very merry Christmas with a beautiful Christmas card.
Here at Dotty about Paper, we have a wide range of Christmas cards in different designs. You can either buy sets of cards or singular cards and personalise them with all of your own wording.
It seems unlikely that any Christmas parties will go ahead this year, however you can still host a 'Zoom' party. It's a great way to make sure you still chat with friends and family at Christmas time.
You can also play a lot of traditional games over Zoom, such as charades, Pictionary, and bingo. You could even host a Christmas quiz!
If you prefer celebrating on your own, be sure to enjoy lots of Christmas music and films, and keep your Christmas jumper on.
Even though less people will be visiting your home this Christmas, it doesn't mean you can't decorate. Put up a tree, lights, and ornaments to really get into the festive spirit.
Why not host a competition between your family or friends for the best Christmas tree? It's a great way to get everyone involved!
You also may want to put some lights up outside. After all, lots of people will be going on Christmas walks this year, and having a bright house will add to the Christmas cheer. You could even go for walks with your own family to see other people's lights.
Another amazing part about Christmas is the food! Planning a traditional Christmas dinner will definitely excite you and your loved ones for Christmas. Don't forget your Christmas pudding!
If this will be the first Christmas where you have made the dinner yourself, then it's the perfect time to start practising your cooking skills.
Finally, enjoy Christmas Day! Whether that's with your family, your partner, friends, or on your own, it can definitely still be one to remember.
